There are three beaches close to The Blue House.  We offer free shuttle service back and
forth to all three: Mahogany Beach, Reggae Beach and Mallards Beach. There is no entrance
fee to Mahogany Beach. Reggae Beach admission fee is US$9.50 per adult and Mallards Beach
admission is J$200 or under US$2.50 each.  

Mahogany Beach is a small beach with a lot of activity. Touristy beach with restaurant, large
bar, lounge chairs for rental, and even massages available. Local music pumps and motorized
water sports, jet skis, glass bottom boat, snorkelling trips available.













































Turtle Beach is a short strip adjacent to Mallards Beach, generally more commonly populated
with locals.   


Dunn's River Beach is directly under the 600-foot waterfall at Dunn's River Falls. Usually
crowded but the river cools you off with mist from the waterfall. The scenery reminds you
that you're in a tropical paradise. Local legend claims the waters are imbued with healing
powers.

Dolphin Cove Beach is popular with families and adventure loving tourists who are there to
swim with the dolphins or to enjoy the array of other activities the complex offers. Paddle
boats, canoes available.





























































































Flavors is a popular restaurant/bar on the public beach in Runaway Bay, a 30 minute drive
away, that attracts a lot of local patrons. Good local hang out on the way to The Outameni
Experience, Rafting on The Martha Brae or Glistening waters.

Puerto Seco Beach is further West from Ocho Rios and a traditional Jamaican beach. Food
vendors offer visitors jerk chicken. The beach is near Columbus Park, if you'd like to add a little
history to your beach experience.
Ocho Rios Beaches
Reggae Beach is a beautiful stretch of white sand beach, in it's natural state, nestled in a
lush tropical jungle. Recently updated bar and restaurant facilities. New home to Bamboo
Beach Club, a beach activity for cruise ship passengers twice per week. Otherwise a very quiet
beach where locals go on weekends. My fav beach on the island !
Mallards Beach is located in
the center of Ocho Rios and
attracts beach goers from all
the surrounding area hotels. It
is a convenient option if you
also want to explore the
downtown area of Ocho Rios.

The number of other
vacationers sharing the beach
can vary widely, depending
upon when you visit. But the
beach is large enough that you
can usually find a quiet spot if
you prefer.

east of Ocho Rios and so is
less crowded. Calmer than
the other beaches, with
no shade. Restaurant and
bar on site. Enquire ahead
of time for the schedule
of concerts that are
sporadically hosted there.
The author of James
Bond, Ian Fleming owned
a home next door,
Goldeneye, which is now a
very exclusive resort
property.
Dunn's River Falls and Dolphin Cove also have beaches that you could enjoy, should you decide
to visit these attractions.



For those who would like to explore other beaches, there are several within a 20-30 minute
drive, east or west of Ocho Rios.
