Our in-house Ocho Rios destination wedding
coordinator will take all the worry and hassle out
of your plans and work to create special memories
for you, making your wedding day in beautiful
Ocho Rios Jamaica all you ever dreamed about.
The Blue House has facilities for an elegant, intimate wedding reception for 2-20 people. A
minimum 7 night room booking is required for a wedding reservation.

Wedding Coordinator will take photographs with a digital camera
Price: Please advise wedding date, length of stay, number of adults and children (and the
children's ages) in your wedding party, number of rooms required, type of wedding,
style/theme of wedding and colours for wedding party and our destination wedding
coordinator will contact you.
Destination Wedding Administration Fees
A mandatory and non-refundable administration, processing, Jamaica government license and
marriage certificate fee of $200 is required for destination wedding reservations. Payment
must arrive at least 45 days prior to the wedding date.
Cancelling or making changes to existing wedding ceremony:
If you wish to cancel the wedding ceremony, change the day of the wedding or make any
other changes to your wedding arrangements you must do so 7 days from the date of
booking the wedding, after that the $200 Wedding Administration Fee becomes non
refundable.
Wedding Extras: You wedding can be as simple or as elaborate as you'd like it to be. You
choose.
Required Legal Documents For Jamaica Wedding:
US Residents can order copies for notarization at:
http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/howto/w2w/w2welcom.htm.
All documentation must be received no later than 45 days before the wedding date. If the
required documents are received later than that a $150 late fee will be charged.
Appointment with wedding coordinator:
You are required to be at The Blue House 2 business days prior to the wedding date. The day
after your arrival at The Blue House, the wedding coordinator will meet with you for a walk
through and wrap-up discussion on:

Jamaica Destination Wedding Ceremony:
Our in house wedding ceremony lasts about 15 minutes with commonly used wedding vows
(“to love and to cherish”). You may not modify it, but you may add your own short exchange
that has a special meaning to you. Should you like to incorporate a unity candle lightning
ceremony, please be sure to bring your own candle. Same applies to coloured sand for Sand
Ceremony.
Standard Music: CD Player is provided, you can bring CD of your choice. If not, traditional
music will be played.
Reception: a decorated table with Jamaica wedding cake and sparkling wine will be set up for
you
What to wear:
Church weddings in Jamaica require circumspect attire, otherwise wear whatever you dreamed
of. Keep in mind that Jamaica is a tropical country so it will be hot. Couples wear from
traditional dresses and tuxedos to casual wear with bare feet.
Wedding guests not staying at The Blue House in Ocho Rios Jamaica:
Family and friends living in Jamaica or staying at a different resort are welcome to attend your
wedding day. We can comfortably accommodate up to 20 persons for a sit down wedding
reception. Please contact us for information on additional costs etc.
Please email your guests’ names to your wedding coordinator as soon as you know they are
planning to attend. Their names will be provided to the security so they can enter the resort.
Marriage certificate:
The day of the ceremony you will receive a temporary copy of your wedding certificate.
Documents will be sent to Wedding Registry in Kingston for them to issue your original
wedding certificate. It can take 12-16 weeks for the certificate to be mailed.
