YOUR ARRIVAL
Your group will be comfortably transported directly to the villa via Tourwise Bus or private taxi
depending on your reservation.
You will be welcomed by the property manager who will offer you drinks on your arrival. She
will then tour you through the property and escort you to your room so you can settle in.
Dinner is usually served family style in the indoor dining room unless prior arrangements are
made. Whenever our house count exceed 8, seating arrangements for dinner will be split.
Our suggestions is usually adults in the dining room and children in the games room. The staff
will attend to all details for meals, including shopping, food preparation, set up, and cleanup.
The property manager is available to help you with booking tours and excursions and general
villa details. The manager lives in separate accommodations on the property and is usually
available from 10:00 a.m. until after dinner.
VILLA STAFF
The staff at The Blue House are amazingly accommodating. They will try to do anything you
ask. Some staff live off the property and some live in separate accommodations on property.
Your cook will consistently dazzle you with wonderful Jamaican surprise meals, if you tell
him/her to do so.
The day starts while guests are still asleep. The cook quietly places pots of steaming Jamaican
coffee on the dining room buffet. Full breakfast is served when all guests are ready. A typical
breakfast will include orange juice and fresh fruits, fruit bun, eggs, bacon, pancakes or cereal ~
or Jamaican ackee and salt fish or the seasonal substitute. For dinners, your cook will prepare a
mix of Jamaican specialties ~ including delicious homemade soups and desserts, shrimp, curried
goat, jerk pork or chicken, fish ~ or occassionally serve American, Continental or Chinese hakka
dishes. Our cooks produces excellent food and portions are generous!
Your housekeeper and chambermaid will care for every detail of your bedroom and bath ~ we
are a "green resort" so linens are changed twice a week ~ Please let us know at time of
booking if you prefer other arrangements. The groundskeeper/houseman will maintain the
pool and grounds each day as well as help in the kitchen and general areas of the villa. The
property manager generally facilitates.
Available on request are masseuses, manicurists, nannies and yoga instructors. Laundry is
available at $10 per load, wash and fold.
SECURITY
It is recommended that you need to take the same degree of care and caution with regards
to security as you would while vacationing in any strange place.
RETURNING HOME
Tourwise will transport you back to the Montego Bay Airport on your last day. Plan on a 2
hour trip from Ocho Rios to Montego Bay and the required 3 hour check in time for
international departures.
ACTIVITIES
TBH is within easy driving distance of beaches, dive shops, boat rentals, clubs, boutiques,
restaurants, golf courses, tennis courts, deep-sea fishing, snorkeling and other water sports,
and craft markets.
