Elise Yap is a wonderfully, hospitable third generation Hakka Chinese Jamaican, with a smidgen
of German genes, who has been involved in the tourism industry for over 14 years.

A native born Jamaican who cherishs her multi-cultural heritage, she's in tune with her
homeland, the Jamaican culture and her fellow Jamaicans. She delights in sharing her intimate
knowledge and love of Jamaica with visitors from all over the world. Visitors interested in
exploring Jamaica's diverse culture and ethnic mix during their visit at The Blue House are
assured of a truly authentic "non touristy" Jamaican experience. Her warm, friendly, laid back
Jamaican hospitality is legendary.

Additional requests from guests like exotic floral arrangements throughout the house, a special
celebratory dinner, casual sleeping arrangements for a group of 22 teenagers on the last night
of their mission trip, special meals, books on Jamaica birds for birdwatching experiences,
nannies for your children, garden or beach weddings are all par for the course, for her.

Having lived in North America for 12 years and travelled extensively
internationally, Elise understands the varied backgrounds and needs
of her worldwide clientele. Her avant-garde style and her taste for
finer things is evident throughout the Inn.

A tiny, charming whirlwind of energy, she's passionate about life
and loves to exchange thoughts and ideas on a wide range of
topics. With her innate hospitality and caring concern for
everyone, she makes an ideal host for your dream Jamaican
vacation.

Darryl is The Blue House's infamous "Barefoot Chef".

A big "Teddy Bear" of a guy, he regularly reaps rave reviews for his
tremendously gifted, God-given culinary skills.

Darryl is happiest when he is enthusiastically whipping up a variety
of delectable delights in his kitchen.

His specialities include mouth watering Jamaican, Hakka Chinese,
Cuban, Italian, American and Continental cuisine.

Corline is our Cook and Housekeeper, Sherry- Ann is our
chambermaid and hair-braiding specialist and "Bookie" is our
Groundsman.

All are warm, friendly and eager to please. They keep this beautiful
vacation property immaculate and are always happy to stop and
chat awhile with guests about the REAL JAMAICA.
